I feel so fortunate to be a Mornington Peninsula wedding photographer. It is such an amazing part of the world and there are endless places to explore and to take photos.
As well as photography, I love music of all different genres…..just not jazzy jazz, that’s the line for me ha ha. Gimme classic house, some fat, squelchy beats, a sprinkle of post - punk and a full serve of indie folk and I’m a happy lady. I try to see live music as much as I can, and make it a mission to get to one festival a year, when work allows it.
I’m also into gardening, horses, the bush, the beach in Summer and the beach in Winter, books and yoga. Oh, and chocolate and wine, of course.
I have two adorable mini pickles who complete me. We have a gorgeous Kelpie, Wilma and crazy Border Collie, Rudie to keep us busy. I also have the most amazing group of friends and a family I could not live without.
I studied photography at high school but really fell in love with the craft after a working holiday which took me around the world for three years with a film camera. When I came home I decided to take photography further. I studied for two years and was then employed by some of Sydney and Melbourne’s top wedding photography studios. I have not regretted a thing.
I have always loved meeting new people. I love to connect with people of all different backgrounds, ages and persuasions. I love a good chat with randoms in the street or at a music festival, which is one of the reasons I enjoy my work so much. I love getting to know my couples, as well as their family and friends and documenting the bonds they share.
I photograph Mornington Peninsula weddings and Melbourne weddings as well as the Yarra Valley, Bellarine Peninsula and country Victoria. I also photograph weddings in Sydney regularly as my parents still live there. I am happy to travel so if you are planning a destination wedding please get in touch.
My approach to photographing weddings is to be unobtrusive, creative and most of all, I just want my couples and their friends and family to have fun! I don’t force poses or smiles, I find all of this happens when we are mucking around and having fun. I let the ceremony unfold natural, you won’t even know I’m there.
I love to blend in as well as getting involved in some of the fun bits. I’ve been known to hit the dance floor with my new bridal party besties and it’s one of my favourite times of the day. I run around all day, photographing the little details, facial expressions and body language, then I get home completely exhausted and absolutely buzzing. I love what I do and I’m always super grateful when people choose me to photograph their special day!
If you like my style of wedding photography give me a call to discuss the plans for your day!
